No

Only two letters, yet they can make an adult do something they do not want to, lie and feel guilty. Powerful, right? We are conditioned to please other people, to say yes regardless of how we feel because we think our “worth” comes from: always doing more and not disappointing others.

What if we stopped looking for outside validation and we get it from within ourselves? What if we recognize our competing responsibilities and do not overcommit? What if we decide what is a priority for us and act accordingly?

This will give us the confidence to say no when we feel we are too stretched and to preserve ourselves (spoiler alert: nobody will do that for you!). Having awareness of what will serve us will free us from convoluted excuses and will make space for showing up with intention when we decide to do it. Time and energy are limited, without straight priorities it is hard to craft an intentional life. Use these powerful two letters to free yourself from the weight of others when you do not need it.

What are your priorities? What do you need to say NO to live accordingly and find worth in the beauty of leading life with intention?
